**** Jasper Morris. From Aux Allots, Aux Herbues, and Aux Lavières, all on the Vosne side of Nuits. Old vines again. Brisk purple dark fruit on the nose, firm fruit with plenty of stuffing, indeed some plumpness in the middle. A crunchy finish. 12.5% alcohol, which is a relief in 2018. There is something rugged and old-fashioned about this – in a good way. Tasted Mar 2020.
